Same-Day Helicopter Return: Plan Your Darshan Carefully

For a same-day Kedarnath helicopter shuttle, you cannot return whenever you choose. Passengers typically get around 2–3 hours after landing to complete Darshan and report back at the Kedarnath helipad.

The regular Darshan queue can sometimes take 2–4 hours or more, making the return window difficult to manage. A Priority Darshan Slip, where available, can help same-day passengers save time. Current sources indicate an approximate cost of ₹1,100–₹2,500 per person, depending on the applicable arrangement.

If you miss your assigned return reporting time, your ticket does not automatically guarantee a later flight. Re-accommodation depends on the operator's rules and seat availability. Weather-related schedule changes are handled separately by the operator.

How Shuttle Booking Works

• Helicopter tickets are sold only through the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal
• Aadhaar-based verification is required at the helipad — carry a valid ID
• Baggage & weight limit: 80 kg per passenger (₹150/kg extra above that), one handbag up to 5 kg — no additional baggage allowed
• Flights are weather-dependent. Delays or cancellations can happen with short notice — we don't promise a guaranteed slot, and no operator can
• We assist with the booking process and ground logistics, but the IRCTC ticket itself must be booked through their official portal

How Much Does a Kedarnath Helicopter Cost?
